NHS – Walk for the Animals

Walk for the Animals

We’re back — and we’re ready to leash up the dogs and get walking!
Join us on Sunday, September 25, 2022 for the 33rd annual Margre Durham Walk for the Animals!

Who’s ready to get out and Walk? We are! (And a huge shout out to everyone who supported us last year. You were there for the homeless animals and we appreciate all your fundraising efforts!)

Did you know?

The very first Walk for the Animals took place in 1989, with 50 people and their pets.  Last year, even during a pandemic, nearly 400 of you registered and raised funds to help animals in need.

We would like to extend a huge round of a-paws to everyone who has walked over the years to save homeless animals and give them the second chance they deserve.

Please join us this year, so together,  we can save the lives of more animals.

Why Participate?

The Nebraska Humane Society protects, saves and enriches the lives of animals in the communities we serve.  By participating in the Walk for the Animals you are saving the lives of more than 20,000 animals who come through our doors each year in need of shelter, care and healing before finding their forever home.  Your support makes a difference.

How Your Support Makes a Difference

By supporting the Walk for the Animals, you are making a difference all year long. Thanks to donors like YOU, a lot was accomplished last year.
